Why am I so excited about Soccer Shots? Once you see how excited the kids are about Soccer Shots there is no stopping your own excitement! Another reason that I am excited is because we are offering a much anticipated and needed extracurricular activity for young kids. Soccer is the most popular sport among kids yet it is rarely offered to kids prior to grade school.
The soccer sessions are offered during school hours at daycares, preschools, after school programs and any other place where kids ages 3-5 hang out! During the sessions not only do the kids learn basic fundamentals of the game of soccer (dribble, no hands, shooting goals), but they also gain valuable skills such as teamwork, character building, and an introduction to an active lifestyle.
The sessions typically begin with a word-of-the-day, which is reiterated throughout the session. Then the fun and games begin! Soccer balls become cookies, cones become volcanoes, and goals become caves. This inspires the kids’ imaginations and always sparks participation. By the end of each session each kid will score a goal and be rewarded with a much-anticipated prize.
