The Week Of The Young Child was hosted by the College Of The Canyons this past Saturday. The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) organizes and plans exciting events to celebrate children and raise awareness of their needs. The theme for 2008 is “Bring Communities Together for Children— Children Bring Communities Together.”
As a recognized leader in the community, Soccer Shots was invited to attend this year. Soccer Shots not only teaches children the basic skills of soccer but places a high emphasis on character development as well. So this was a perfect fit!
The NAEYC’s mission is to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights and well-being of all young children with primary focus on the provision of educational and developmental services and resources.
